Hello, Connectrp! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals. --Traveler100 (talk) 06:54, 8 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Problems

[edit]

Please read tour, don't tout and external links. If after you finish reading those pages, you feel that it is essential to travelers for particular travel agencies to be mentioned and singled out for praise in the Medical tourism article, please make an argument on Talk:Medical tourism, because a consensus can make exceptions to general rules about these kinds of listings or even mentions.

All the best,

Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:03, 8 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry, I see the problems were not introduced by you. Thank you and read those pages, anyway, but don't worry about them in relation to your edit. Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:20, 8 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
I'm currently editing on my iPhone, and it's easier for me to reply to your question on my user talk page here than to move your question to the end of my talk page, sign for you and reply there. On talk pages on wikis, the newest post goes at the bottom of the page, and all posts are signed by typing 4 tildes (~) in a row at the end.
I repeat, your edit did not introduce the problems I saw on that page, though at first I incorrectly thought it had. When I looked at the article's edit history, I saw that an IP user had added the problematic text. The reasons the text was problematic were that it mentioned and touted specific tour agencies, and much less importantly, it used ref tags, which are not used on this site; instead, we credit sources in edit summaries or sometimes on talk pages for articles. I fear my explanation may not be clear enough, so if you have more questions, please ask them below in a reply. Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:45, 8 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi bro

[edit]

I am completely new to Wikivoyage. I have made editing just like we do in Wikipedia. In Wikipedia we use ref to point out source reference.

Is that a issue using that method? If so how can i re enter the contents once more to the same page. Without any issues you found. Thanks bro Connectrp (talk) 10:06, 8 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

It's hard to select a bit of text effectively on this iPhone, but it's not that big a deal, and User:SelfieCity kindly moved it already. What's more important is that I read your question and did my best to reply to it. I hope my explanation made some sense to you. Unfortunately, some of the policies and guidelines on this site take some time to learn. That was my own experience when I was a new user here - and even when I wasn't that new.
