PERSECUTION/ASYLUM
[edit]Temidayo Kamorudeen Mabolaje, lagos, nigeria and for my HUMANITARIAN IDEOLOGIES and RELIGIOUS FAITH,that I am been PERSECUTED and needs some DIPLOMATIC ASSISTANTS for a safer haven and greener pastureland to helped SURVIVED this my HUMAN EXISTENCE, thanks? and it is URGENTLY.
- I'm sorry, but your problem goes beyond our ability to help you. Good luck in Nigeria and with perhaps claiming asylum in another country by traveling there or going to a consulate. Are you sure it's to your advantage to publicize your situation on the worldwide web? Ikan Kekek (talk) 13:46, 23 June 2025 (UTC)
New here. Armchair editing - advise?
[edit]Hi,
I'm in the process of researching a long trip to SE Asia and am coming across occasional but seriously out of date (now erroneous) info.
I'm happy to armchair edit as I go along, however just want to check that it's OK to do so if the info is from purely virtual sources?
E.g:
*location described in an article (2015!) as 'pristine' &/or 'undeveloped' that is clearly now a mega resort complex on Google Maps.
*dead URL whereby the original local project ceased to operate in 2012(!) but upon browser search there is a live URL leading to a local project in the same vein, that claims to continue the work of the former and seems genuine.
Does it matter that this is not IRL info on my part?
Would I edit and mention that new info source is digital?
I've been coming across so many of these small inconsistencies in my deep dives that I actually created this user acc just to get involved.

- Please plunge forward and make changes you think are necessary! There is no expectation of first-hand experience with a place. The world is just too big a place for us to expect that. I always update articles while planning a trip. Please share your research with us. And welcome to Wikivoyage! Ground Zero (talk) 18:27, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
- @CloWithTheFlow, I agree: please do what you can, using common sense to decide what information sources to trust. WhatamIdoing (talk) 19:49, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
- I agree as well.
- In addition to destination articles, have a look at Banana Pancake Trail, Maritime Silk Road & others listed at Asia itineraries. Pashley (talk) 20:30, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
