Metra commuter trains serve various parts of the Western Suburbs. The CTA 'L' also offers service to Oak Park from Chicago. Amtrak stops in La Grange and Naperville.

The Brookfield Zoo in Brookfield.

Oak Park has lots of Frank Lloyd Wright buildings as well as an Ernest Hemingway museum.

There is a Frank Lloyd Wright house in Elmhurst, along with the historical museum.

The Lizzadro Rock Museum is in Oak Brook.
