Tools help
[edit]@SHB2000 @Ground Zero Can you suggest me some tools that I can use to help develop Hindi Wikivoyage? TypeInfo (talk) 10:58, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- I'm curious to know why for a wiki where you've made fewer than 100 edits. //shb (t | c | m) 11:24, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- I’m exploring ways to contribute more efficiently and want to understand how experienced editors work TypeInfo (talk) 11:31, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- I say this because automated tools aren't really used on Wikivoyage beyond what already exist (such as the listing editor). //shb (t | c | m) 12:02, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- I understand! My goal is to explore ways to contribute more efficiently, even within the existing tools like the listing editor. I'm still learning about the best practices for Hindi Wikivoyage and want to ensure my contributions align with the community's approach. TypeInfo (talk) 14:16, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
Non-obvious rollback without comment
[edit]Hi. Why did you make this edit? Was it intentional? Ikan Kekek (talk) 18:02, 27 February 2025 (UTC)
- Nevermind; I see from the page history that they are edit warring. Thanks for your help! Ikan Kekek (talk) 18:05, 27 February 2025 (UTC)
- In the future, though, please don't use rollback for these kinds of things, especially if you're not familiar with local community customs. There are blankings and edit wars that are obvious rollback cases, but a content dispute is not one of them. This isn't just for enwikivoyage, but for patrolling any wiki covered by the SWMT. //shb (t | c | m) 20:21, 27 February 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarification! I appreciate the guidance and will keep this in mind moving forward. I'll be more cautious about using rollback in content disputes and make sure to respect local community customs. Let me know if there are any specific guidelines I should review. Thanks again!😊 TypeInfo (talk) 11:52, 2 March 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah, we all learn (and rookie errors when you're new to SWMT, tbh) – but one day you'll get the hang of x-wiki patrolling fully. :) //shb (t | c | m) 11:58, 2 March 2025 (UTC)
- Absolutely! Learning as I go, and I really appreciate the patience and guidance. Looking forward to improving my x-wiki patrolling skills over time. Thanks for the encouragement! :) TypeInfo (talk) 12:02, 2 March 2025 (UTC)
