Format details

Thanks for all your edits on parts of Metro Cebu. Is Cebuano phrasebook/Bisaya something you could help with?

I've been fixing some format details in listings you have added. One convention here is not to mention the city in listings; e.g. in the Lapu-Lapu article there is no need to say a hotel is in Lapu-Lapu. Also, we give the country code in phone numbers, so +63 32 not (032). Pashley (talk) 14:44, 3 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

I fixed Cebu City & Lapu-Lapu, & noticed someone else has done Iloilo. But you have added listings in many cities; please fix the others yourself. Pashley (talk) 19:50, 3 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Like he said, please exclude default address info, such as the name of the city. Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:25, 7 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
ok thank you 203.160.168.62 00:34, 16 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Also, have you considered creating an account? --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 08:53, 16 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
i'm a pure tagalog speaker, so i can not help you regading the cebuano language 203.160.168.62 23:59, 12 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Keep URLs only as long as necessary, and are you a marketer?

Also, please exclude all unnecessary URL extensions. For example, when https://www.discoverasr.com/en/ascott-the-residence/philippines/ascott-bonifacio-global-city-manila works, don't add anything to the end of it.

I have a question for you: Are you working as a paid publicist or employee for any of the hotels or restaurants whose listings you're adding? If so, it's important for you to disclose that and read SEO and welcome, tourism professionals. Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:41, 9 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

no i am not related to any hospitality services, i am just a hopeless traveler, no budget for real travelling the world, It all started that i got interested in countries on earth when Miss Universe 1994 was held in Manila, i am a heavy reader/user of some of country guidebooks since 1998 to present especially my country Philippines . 203.160.168.62 00:41, 16 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
OK, cool, and thanks again for adding so much information! Ikan Kekek (talk) 01:05, 16 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Time formatting

Thank you for your very useful updates on articles. It is easiest for readers if we use one time format per article, rather than changing from one format to another to another through an article. For Philippines articles, Wikivoyage uses a 12-hour format (e.g. 9AM-noon, 2PM-6PM). We don't use "12PM" and "12AM" because they are ambiguous: some people use them to mean "noon" and "midnight", while other people use them to mean "midnight " and "noon". This is set out in our style guide, WV:time. I hope that helps. Keep up the great work. Ground Zero (talk) 02:58, 4 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

If there isn't anything you don't understand about Wikivoyage style, please ask me. I would like to help you improve your contributions. Ground Zero (talk) 11:44, 4 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Please stop using "12PM". For many people, that means "noon", but for others it means "midnight". It is much clearer if you use "noon" or "midnight". Thank you. Ground Zero (talk) 01:04, 13 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Isn't there something you don't understand about the Wikivoyage style? I can try to answer any questions that you might have. Please stop using "12PM" and "12AM". Thank you. Ground Zero (talk) 01:11, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please stop using "12PM". It is confusing. Ground Zero (talk) 01:17, 18 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Metro Manila

I reverted your edits there. Policy is to list no more than nine cities for any region; see Wikivoyage:Article_skeleton_templates/Sections#Cities. Pashley (talk) 11:19, 6 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please stop creating new stub articles

Please do notcreate any more new articles until you have expanded the ones you just created. Wikivoyage is a travel guide, not an encyclopedia, so the 19 articles that you have just created don't belong. I hope that you will add travel information to them, like how to get there, what to see and do, and where to eat and stay.

If you are planning just to leave them as they are now, I'll delete them. If you are planning to expand them, please let me know and I will help you. But there are enough stubs started now that you should not create any more. Thanks. Ground Zero (talk) 22:20, 6 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

The text from most/all of these stub articles is copied from Wikipedia. @203.160.168.62, have you accepted @Ground Zero's offer for assistance in saving these articles? If so, please note Wikivoyage:Cooperating with Wikipedia and remember to use the Template:Wikipedia where necessary. Gregsmi11 (talk) 13:41, 12 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Fewer listings, please

Hello! I notice that you've been adding a lot of entries recently, but I'm not sure they're very useful. Some are for international chains that don't offer travelers anything of particularly local flavor or color, plus they're easily found on search engines (see WV:Obvious). Since WV is a travel guide, it's best to exercise some judgment and list places that offer something special to the traveler (charm, character, value, personal service, etc.) Regards, Mrkstvns (talk) 19:04, 12 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

ok, i will do that 203.160.168.62 23:58, 12 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Standard greeting

Here's the boilerplate greeting most anonymous users get:

By the way, have you considered creating an account at Wikivoyage? It gives a bunch of benefits:
