Zillah is a town in the Yakima Valley, on the Columbia River Plateau of Washington State. It sports two quirky attractions: the unfortunately-named Church of God-Zillah and the Teapot Dome Gas Station.

Interstate 82 (I-82) runs through Zillah, between Yakima and the Tri-Cities (Richland-Kennewick-Pasco).

[edit | edit source]- 1 Church of God-Zillah (Christian Worship Center), 204 Cheyne Rd (I-82 exit 52). This church attracts tourists because its original name sounds like Godzilla, the Japanese movie monster. It has its own metal Godzilla which sits on a trailer usually near or behind the church.
- 2 Teapot Dome Gas Station, 117 1st Ave (I-82 exit 52), ☏ +1 509 829-5151. A gas station from the 1920s shaped like a giant teapot, in reference to the Teapot Dome Scandal from that time. It was restored in the early 2010s, and has a visitor center inside. The gas pumps are just for show, but the visitor center sells merchandise, refreshments and has tourist information. free.
