Should articles needing attention have a message on them asking for them to be edited? (Like the {{stub}} message, but say {{style}} instead of stub.) The only way we can find these articles at present is by looking here, instead of on the page in question. If the articles in queston had a message on them that said that they needed work then perhaps more of them might be updated and corrected, and when they were people could remove them from this page. I think yes, I haven't gotten into the maintenance side of wikivoyage yet, but on my own articles I usually try and get all of the information out of my head and into the articles first and then later (sometimes several days....weeks later) try and do formating. I think being able to add a style tag at the end would help to notify other people that they can feel free to work on style and spelling, grammar etc. and would help them find the articles.(WT-en) Aburda 07:11, 25 Jul 2005 (EDT)

Does anyone want to work on a Christmas Markets article? These markets provide substantial tourism dollars in the off season, so anyone linked to tourism boards might have a go at them. I have a substantial number of external links which are very helpful and could be used in an article. If there was an article on Christmas Markets, where would it link? Nkb

No. While we might have an Project:Article status page, I think we still need a page that describes those articles that need attendion that fall outside the status levels. Thinks like articles that need to be reviewed for accuracy, negative comments, factbooks, and a myriad of other things that I know people will want to say about an article but cannot quite bring themselves to do the work (or do not know enough to do anything). It seems fine to keep this page around for a bit, but in the long term I think it's preferable to use the article talk pages for specific issues, and use the status lists to keep track of overall article progress. I may be in the minority, but I don't usually check this page, and a quick glance at it reveals a number of articles that have been fixed up without the fixes ever being reflected here (Los Angeles and Tulsa were the first two I looked at). -- (WT-en) Ryan 03:03, 22 Nov 2005 (EST)

I frequenly encounter need to insert a stub for a specific topic: "Local regulations on this wanted summarized"; "Interested in other expreriences on that". The idea is to easier attract locals of specific country and frequent travellers: "we want to know this on your country, please help". If every country / region has its list of help wanted, it will grab more attention than just having an incomplete article (whether in Stub status or not) assuming we'd like any help equally.

Technically, it can be achieved either by a separate page for each large region (eg. Greece\Help_wanted) or by tagging specific destination with a category "help wanted here", detailed on discussion page so that list don't affect offline readers on the go. Not being maintained by anyone, and hopelessly out of date. I have created a Category:Articles needing attention which I have hidden inside the style template. That way, someone can keep a watch on the page and maintain it. • Redirect to Category:Articles needing attention. I like your new solution a lot since it no longer requires manual intervention. The only downside is that there isn't any way to leave a comment about what needs to be fixed, but it's probably better to include that info on the discussion page of the article in question anyhow.
