My name is Sjoerd, I live in Utrecht, The Netherlands. I grew up in Wageningen

I very much like to travel. My destinations outside western Europe:

Over the years I've made various visits to Germany, Belgium and northern France as well. In my youth my parents took me on holidays, usually to France, but we've also been to various places in Belgium and Germany, and visited Luxembourg, England, Spain and Switzerland some time. In 2002 we visited western Canada. In 2004 I visited Naples, Italy on a school trip.

I can appreciate my own country as well. My favourite cities are Utrecht, Wageningen, Amsterdam, Arnhem, Sneek and The Hague. My favourite natural features of the Netherlands are: Veluwe, Utrechtse Heuvelrug, Amelisweerd, Vechtstreek and the lakes of Friesland
