Trenggalek is a regency in East Java on the southern shore of Java island. Trenggalek has many resorts and tourist attractions that have pristine beauty, for example caves, beaches and beautiful mountains.

Trenggalek is one of the cities famous for its gaplek (dried cassava). Barong dance is an art that exists in Trenggalek. In 2018, there was a record-breaking barong dance with the most dancers in Trenggalek.
