[edit | edit source]- 1 Chandramouleeswar Temple (Piraisoodiya Emperuman, Vakrakali Temple). 6AM–1PM and 4:00PM–8:30PM. A Shiva temple believed to have been built during the Chola period in the 10th century. The temple has received gracious endowments from the Chola queen Sembiyan Mahadevi. Shiva is worshipped as Chandramowleeswarar and his consort Parvati as Amirthambigai.
