Paraguay has 15 national parks.

The national parks of Paraguay protect and preserve the wildlife and national resources of the country. Destructive activities such as hunting and logging are stricly prohibited in the parks. Travelers who visit the parks can enjoy scenic beauty and recreational activities. They may also observe a great diversity of flora and fauna in their natural environment. Parks are administered for the federal government by the Sistema Nacional de Áreas Protegidas del Paraguay (SINASIP), under the authority of the Secretary of the Environment (Secretariat del Ambiente, SEAM).
