Northern Punjab, or the Panjistan region or sometimes Pothohar Plateau, in this guide refers to northern part of the Pakistani province of Western Punjab.

The Panjistani Language Movement has started to campaign for a ew Panjistan Province (in North Panjab) and also the Panjistani Language Board to advance the cause for teaching Panjistani (Pahari/Pothwari/Mirpuri) language in schools and colleges.

Talk[edit]

The major language is Panjistani (Pothwari Mirpuri), but Hinku (Hindko) and eastern Punjabi are also spoken.
