Understand[edit]
Majha historically referred to the central portion of Punjab before it was split between India and Pakistan in 1947. Much like Punjab itself, Majha was divided during the partition with Lahore being the biggest city on the Pakistani side of Majha, and Amritsar being the biggest city on the Indian side of Majha.
