Castara

Castara is a bay and beach town in the northern part of Trinidad and Tobago, a Caribbean country.

Castara can be reached by car from Scarborough (ferry terminal) or Crown Point (airport).

Taxis (and buses) are extremely difficult to get here so make sure you have your own car or a driver before entering.

The town is very walkable. There is not much to do except relax on the beach and watch the frigate birds and pelicans.

Apart from food and drink you shouldn't expect to buy much here.

Not many options here but there are a few hotels and airbnbs along the coast.

• Scarborough - 40 minutes drive south
• Black Rock
• Charlotteville - one hour by car
• Crown Point - one hour by car
