PLUMBBOB - 1957 - NEVADA TEST SITE -- Auto ramp leading down to dual-purpose underground garage, designed by Ammann and Whitney Consulting Engineers under the sponsorship of the Federal Civil Defense Administration, is undamaged by the force of an atomic detonation. A reinforced concrete retaining wall just outside the entrance to the garage-mass shelter structure has been partially dislodged, but does not interfere with operation of the door.
