This template shows exchange rates for the U.S. dollar. It should only be used in main articles for countries, overseas territories and dependencies that use the U.S. dollar as their national currency. It should be placed in the "Buy" section of the article.

To use this template, invoke it with the following arguments:

currencies (Optional)

The currency codes to display. If not specified then this parameter defaults to "GBP,AUD,CAD".

To use this template with the default currency conversions:

{{exchange rate US}}

To use this template with custom currency conversions:

{{exchange rate US|currencies=GBP,CAD,JPY,AUD}}

• The link to XE.com provides current exchange rates to make it easier to update the rates shown in the template - be sure to change the "as of" date too.
• To avoid clutter, only major currencies should be used.
• Exchange rates for other currencies than may be relevant to individual countries that use the U.S. dollar can be added to the text of the "Buy" section of the article.
