Content of relevance to a travel guide

[edit]

Tesleemah, what kind of travel-relevant content are you envisioning that people would add to Wikivoyage? We have a Travelling during Ramadan article and a template that adds a link to it in articles about countries and regions with large Muslim populations, so I would say that we are at least covering the basics.

I'm not sure what you all have in mind, but some things that occur to me are that Ramadan- or Eid al-Fitr-specific foods in different countries and regions could be covered in the cuisine articles, or for countries whose cuisine is covered only in the "Eat" section of the country article, that section, possibly with a brief summary and link from the travelling in Ramadan article, and any special or unusual types of Ramadan or Eid al-Fitr observances a traveler might want to witness or take part in could also be detailed, probably in local guides. For example, if there is a specific place in a city where Muslims gather to watch for the moonrise that marks the end of Ramadan, it might be worth mentioning that in a listing.

Any other thoughts?

Best
