It only rolls back whatever can be seen on a given rendition of the Special:Contributions page, which should allow for fairly fine control by the admin using it over demand on resources, etc.

Of course this should be a good bit lighter than my LWP script no matter what.

Um, are you guys sure this is needed? At least yesterday I was able to do a single diff between the original and 3 edits by a vandal, and a normal rollback was able to restore the original. (WT-en) Jpatokal 04:57, 11 Feb 2005 (EST)

It came up a few days ago when a single vandal blanked some 500 pages or so in the course of a couple of hours. I wrote a quick Perl script using LWP to click all of the rollback links on a given IP user's contributions page, and so was able to catch up. Evan later suggested that a Rollback All link would be a more elegant approach.

The language version policy has a section on go-betweens. The go-between has to write a few lines in the en: logbook about what's happening on the other version. As far as I'm concerned, this is the minimal g-b report:

The xx: Wikivoyage language community still exists, we're editing articles, and at least one of us cares enough about maintaining a link with the rest of the community to post this message.

That's really the point of the g-b report; it's a community-oriented "ping". I think more useful ones have more information -- especially stuff that someone who doesn't speak the language couldn't figure out. Like, this would be my go-between report for en: for January:

Wikivoyage en: grew steadily in Jan 2005, with 200 new articles added. Bangkok was the destination of the month. We had a spike in new users around the 9th, as Wikivoyage was mentioned in an article on http://slashdot.org/ . The Travel news section, started in response to December's tsunamis, continues to grow. A spirited discussion about relaxing the sex tourism policy was inconclusive. Bugs still present from the November catastrophe and caching extension continue to bother old and new users.

It may be a good idea to write a g-b report and let it sit on the language version for a few days to let other people add information. I'm sure I've left some important stuff out of the above listing.

It would be great, I think, if we did g-b reports for en: too. This would make it easier for g-b's to translate and copy to the other languages. I'll bring this up in the Logbook. --(WT-en) Evan 10:44, 13 Feb 2005 (EST)

Evan, the German Administrator nominations for Limbodancer and EBB have been present now for slightly more than a month. In this time both users have agreed to be admins, but even though I placed a call to vote on the top of the Mainpage, only 1 user voted beside me. Obviously we still have a democracy problem here. Now LimboDancer has 2 pro-votes and EBB 1, but I would like to ask you to please make them both admins. Have a look at their work up to now and see that they are good workers which continously come back (though not always often) and are present in discussions too.
