Hi, and welcome. I'm deleting the non-standard Buffalo district "articles" you created. Buffalo already has district articles. Please read through the Buffalo article. If you look at the "Districts" section, each district has an article that you can click on. Thanks. Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:24, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
- Whoops! It looks like some of the links are to the "articles" you created. Is this actually User:AndreCarrotflower unregistered, and are you planning on filling out those district articles? Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:27, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
- I restored Buffalo/East Side to act as a placeholder, which is what I hope you meant to create. Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:32, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
- This isn't me, Ikan.
- However, it looks like the district articles created by the IP-only user - South Buffalo, West Side, East Side - are the exact ones that are still in my userspace pending their completion. This is precisely what I had hoped would not happen; I'd hoped that I could take advantage of Wikivoyage's quietness and finish up the districting process before any other user got around to doing what the IP-only user did. Technically speaking, he didn't do anything wrong, other than creating articles that don't conform to our district article template (a really nitpicky complaint, especially for a newbie with no other contributions under his belt).
- Yeah, I agree. I was going to delete them only because I thought there were already full articles about those parts of Buffalo and these were additional articles on the same topic. Sorry for talking past you, 67.247.222.112. Do keep plunging forward and contributing. You might want to look at pages like our Manual of style and linked pages when you have a chance, though. There's a learning curve here, but we're here to help you, and contributing content is more important than anything else. Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:10, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
