P.S. One comment about British and American spellings: When there's no reason to change from one version of English to the other, it's best not to. I have no idea whether either version of English is preferred in Eritrea, so I wouldn't touch spelling as long as it's standard to one or another type of English and internally consistent. But that's just a side point.
