Hello, 212.90.16.105! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Wikivoyage:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.

By the way, have you considered creating an account here? While you can absolutely keep contributing as an anonymous user, it promises a bunch of benefits, and no obligations.

I'm sorry, but what not to link to includes other guides, regardless of how useful they are. If you'd like to argue for an exception on the basis that the link serves the traveler and it's impossible to just list the best balsamic vinegar producers in the Modena article, start a thread at Talk:Modena. I'm doubtful an exception would be made, but if it were, it wouldn't be the first time.

All the best,

Request for Fair Inclusion of Emilia Delizia Food Tour

[edit]

Hello Wikivoyage editors,

I recently added a listing for Emilia Delizia Food Tour to the Modena page, but it was removed due to external link policies. However, I noticed that Modena Food Tour by Taste Bologna remains listed, including a direct link to their website.

I would like to request fair inclusion of Emilia Delizia Food Tour under the same conditions. Our site is not just a commercial page; it also provides a wealth of information in English about Modena, its food culture, and balsamic vinegar production—details that are difficult to find elsewhere in English-language sources. Many travelers rely on our content to better understand the region before they visit.

Could you clarify whether my listing can be reinstated, and under what conditions? If Modena Food Tour by Taste Bologna is allowed, I believe Emilia Delizia should be as well, given its significant informational value for travelers.

Looking forward to your feedback.

Thank you,

Food tours can be listed. Guides cannot. Read what not to link to. If you want to argue for an exception based on The traveller comes first, you have to do that at Talk:Modena, not your user talk page. Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:21, 24 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hi Ikan Kekek and Wikivoyage admins,
I sincerely apologize if my edits violated Wikivoyage’s policies. My intention was not to promote or spam but to contribute useful travel information about Modena’s food culture. I now understand that my approach did not align with the site's guidelines, and I appreciate the feedback.
I kindly ask if my block can be lifted so I can engage properly with the community and contribute in a way that respects Wikivoyage’s policies.I have been asked to post my site url but since I am banned I cannot answer. Again, I appreciate your time and consideration.
Thank you.
