The town's architecture is quite distinct from most towns in the greater Montreal area. Some buildings date back to the beginning of the 1900s, while the new buildings have tried to copy some of the older building's features.

Most people who come to Hudson take a drive down Main Road to see the old houses, foliage and lakeviews. This is popular in the summer but perhaps best done in October, when the leaves turn fall colours.

Main activities: lake mountain slide, hill slide (Kimber Boulevard), cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, leisure activities in the pavilion's multidisciplinary room, etc. The path "La Montée du chemin de Chambly" of the Route Verte (bike path) is adjacent (south side) to the city park. A herd of about sixty geese lives from April to October in this park. The local legend of its origin are that a potato crop was turned to stone beause the farmer worked on Sundays. This station was very popular with pilgrims visiting the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes sanctuary or students attending Bourget college. This building, now owned by the city of Rigaud, has been designated a "heritage railway station" since 1994.
