This island is referred to as "Orcas Island" most of the time. The WP page uses "Orcas Island" and most of the island's businesses/listings also use "Orcas Island". While you will sometimes hear "Orcas" used as shorthand (along with "San Juan" and "Lopez"), "Orcas" without clear context more often refers to Orcas Village, or the animals also known as killer whales. Each of the other San Juan Islands (as well as most other islands in WV) have "Island" in their title.

I want to rename this page to "Orcas Island", then create a disambiguation page for Orcas Island/Orcas Village/orca whalewatching. Gerode (talk) 21:18, 25 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
