Based on a Google Maps search, a lot of sights in the area are called Marascas plus something, e.g. Maracas Bay, Maracas Lookout and Maracas Waterfalls but it doesn't look like the area is called Maracas itself. It's either called Maracas Valley or Maracas Bay. I think the old name was Maracas National Park which is even less suitable and the trigger for the discussion above. I don't remember hearing anyone use the term Maracas Valley while I was there, but I would be fine with Maracas Bay which was a term frequently used. The beach/bay is definitely best-known among the local tourist sites. --Comment by Selfie City (talk) (contributions) 01:01, 19 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
