Car rental
[edit]This listing seemed touty:
The cheapest car rental you can find is Tropical Car Rentals Antigua: Tropical Rentals Tel: (268) 562-5180, Fax:(268) 562-5181, [email protected]. Their cars are in top condition and their prices are way lower than others on the island. They pick you up at the airport and wait for you at your departure, thus avoiding any unnecessary additional taxi rides or such.
In any case, I don't think we want listings at the country level. If necessary, car rental agencies can be listed in local guides. Ikan Kekek (talk) 18:03, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
- It's such a small country, and most people will be arriving via the airport, that having a country level guide to car rental makes sense. There are a few companies that aren't listed on the big portals, so it would be helpful to list them here. Cagliost (talk) 15:06, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
- Keep in mind, though, that even if it's necessary to try to have comprehensive listings of car rental agencies, per the don't tout guidelines, the same listings can't be in two or more articles. So in view of that, would you say that it would be most useful to travelers to list them at the country level and not in any local guides? Ikan Kekek (talk) 15:32, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
- I don't really mind. At present the new airport in Barbuda is barely operational (charter only, no scheduled services), and I'm not familiar with car rental services in Barbuda (not many!). So at present, it doesn't matter much whether we list car rental services on the Antigua island article or the Antigua and Barbuda article. I suppose putting them on Antigua would be future-proof. Cagliost (talk) 17:47, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
- From Google Maps, some examples of companies I don't think are listed on the portals, in English Harbour alone:
- OJ and T
- Big's Car Rental
- Titi Rent A Car

- I'll defer to you, as long as there is no duplication in other articles. Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:15, 7 November 2024 (UTC)

Voltage?
[edit]Lots of conflicting information about Antigua's power supply, none of it reliable. It would be helpful if someone could go there with a multimeter and take some measurements! Cagliost (talk) 15:07, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
