The trail begins at the 1 Lidö ferry stop.

At the Lidö ferry stop you also have a 2 sign about the Lidö trail as the trail is good marked and follow on smaller roads, you can often manage without the electronic map, but it doesn't hurt to have it.

North of the jetty is 3 Lidö Värdshus, which today is a hotel and restaurant. The current 4 main building was built in 1769 and is well worth a visit if its open. To the right of the ferry stop is the 5 Lidö Windmill. You can find the windmill on Suecia Antiqua et Hodierna mentioned as 6 Lidö this is a collection of engravings of Sweden during its period as a great power.

Walking west, you will pass 7 some houses that, in the 1940s, served as 8 summer homes for housewives. If you have time, you can take a detour to visit a new 9 wind shelter with a beautiful view. Rumour has it that Lidö Värdshus can arrange food delivery.

Continuing on the gravel road and pass some 10 open fields you will see a sign 11 Russian own, that is a simple, dry-stone outdoor oven, traditionally found in Sweden’s coastal areas. It is believed to originate from the early 18th century, when Russian troops invaded parts of Sweden during the Great Northern War. These ovens were likely used for baking bread and cooking food while the soldiers were stationed in the region.

You will continue 12 in the forest and then follow the 13 coastline path a 14 small path and follow the 15 blue yellow ribbons. After 1 km you will come to a nice 16 viewpoint where you can see Arholma on the horizon. The trail turns south and you will follow 17 a forrest trail in the direction of the 18 Lidö campsite. If you are not staying here turn left on to a 19 smaller forest road that ends in a location with some 20 older military installations. Turn back in direction the campsite. At the campsite you have a small bathing area 21 small bathing area next to an 22 bbq area with toilets.

Walk the gravel street south and the trail will turn left into a 23 narrow woodland trail. You will pass a harbour for leisure boats where anchoring takes place at buoys to protect the seabed.

The path continues along the coastline and it is a rather 24 easy-to-walk trail that takes you back to the ferry stop and the restaurant.

  • 33 Russian oven used for baking bread and cooking food while the soldiers were stationed in the region. This oven is linked to the Russian raids when Lidö was burned in the summer of 1719.
