Mazán is in Peruvian Amazon.

Small town near Iquitos, which serves as a transport hub for the upstream rivers of the Amazonas.

Get in[edit]

Fast boat from Iquitos (around 1 hours, 15 Soles) or from Santa Clotilde (around 9 hours, 100 Soles) .

Get around[edit]

TukTuks are very abundant and take you from the port to Iquitos to the village of Mazán in about 10 minutes for 2 Soles. In the village you an easily walk around.

Walk the way from the village to the port or the other way round.

Buy[edit]

Basic things as hammocks, clothes and even electronics can be bought. There is a market hall where you can buy fruits and vegetables.

In the market hall are food stalls, street vendors or restaurants. There are also two bakeries.

There are several Hostels around town where it is possible to sleep for around 20 Soles.

Internet Cafe which is e busy place as the youth is very attracted to it, but has a quite good speed for the location.
