Français : Reliure égyptienne, probablement du troisième siècle après J.-C. : ais de bois décorés de bandes de cuir et d'or. Probalement le plus ancien exemple connu de demi-reliure avec cuir décoré d'or. Conservé à la Bibliothèque Chester-Beatty sous la cote Cpt 803.
English: One of the earliest wooden boards for a binding. Egypt, probably third century AD. Oldest known example oh leather filigree work. Ivory pins to fasten leather thongs. Chester Beatty Library, Cpt 803.
