Rangkaian upacara ruwat sumber antara lain Napak Tilas Eyang Prabu Airlangga, yaitu mengenang kembali kisah perjalanan Raja Kahuripan dalam menjaga dan melestarikan sumber-sumber air yang ada disepanjang kaki Gunung Penanggungan, dengan melakukan prosesi ritual pengambilan air di 33 (tiga puluh tiga) titik sumber mata air sepanjang lereng Gunung Penanggungan. Dilanjutkan dengan Ritual Panyuwunan, memuji kepada Gusti Allah SWT kang Akarya Jagad agar segala upaya sangkan paraning dumadi selalu mendapat restu dan lindunganNya, kemudian menyatukan ke 33 mata air melalui Prosesi Manunggaling Tirta suci di Petirtan Candi Jolotundo dan memuji kepada Gusti Allah SWT agar tirta suci menjadi tirta kesembuhan bagi kehidupan seluruh makhluk. |
