English: The Obelisk, Warminster The Obelisk stands on a triangular island at the junction of Church Street (ahead), Silver Street (right) and Vicarage Street (left). A plaque on the base indicates that it was constructed using surplus funds from the enclosure of the common lands of Warminster in 1783. The recent demolition of a high wall behind the obelisk has exposed Warminsters Blind House, the circular building behind the orange skip.
