Description
English: Created by Kostandin Shpataraku, an Albanian Orthodox icon and fresco painter of the 18th-century Post-Byzantine period, this icon of Saint Jovan Vladimir, originally from the Ardenica Monastery in Albania, presents the saint seated on a throne at the center, surrounded by scenes illustrating key moments from his life and miracles, based on his Greek hagiography. Painted with egg tempera on wood, the artwork measures 77.4 cm × 52.7 cm and includes Greek inscriptions. Today, it is preserved in the National Museum of Medieval Art in Korçë.
