Summary

Description

This heart shaped pectoral of king Tutankhamun was found in his intact KV62 tomb by Egyptologists in the 1920s and features his prenomen or royal name ‘Nebkheperure’ meaning 'The possessor of the manifestation of Re.' The pectoral is made of semi-precious stones and was placed on display at the “TUTANKHAMUN: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh” exhibition at Paris, France in February 2020.

Today, the Treasures of Tutankhamun have been moved from the old c.1902 Egyptian Museum in Cairo to the ultra-modern Grand Egyptian Museum at Giza which is scheduled to have its official opening on July 3, 2025 according to Al-Ahram newspaper.[1]
