Português: A pesquisadora Lívia M. Cordeiro e equipe observam um lago de profundidade desconhecida à procura de organismos aquáticos adaptados à vida subterrânea. Apesar da iluminação azulada das lanternas LED próprias para estudos em cavernas, as águas da região são, de fato, azuladas, devido aos efeitos do calcário dissolvido. Provavelmente, o lago literalmente não tenha fundo, pois é muito comum, na região as águas subterrâneas formam intrincadas redes de canais largos e extensos, dando origem a rios de superfície como o Formoso (Bonito, MS).
