Summary
DescriptionLjubljana - Stari trg 4 (Valvasorjeva hiša).jpg
English: The house 4 Old Square (Stari trg 4) in the old part of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. The first house was built here in the 1530s. It housed a bread shop, a warehouse and a weighing scale. The current house was build in 1637-38, with its façade completed at the end of the 18th century.[1] It was long presumed that the polymath Johann Weikhard von Valvasor was born here. However, research has shown that this is not true, but that his father moved here in the late 1640s.[2]
