Description

L'hôtel de ville (Rådhuset) d'Oslo, est au coeur de la cité. Le nouveau quartier d'Aker Brygge s'est développé à proximité, le Palais Royal est peu éloigné, le nouveau musée national regroupant les différents départements : beaux-arts, design, architecture, art contemporain, sera à 200 m à gauche.

Il a été inauguré en 1950. Il a été décoré par des artistes norvégiens de la première moitié de 20e siècle, avec des motifs tirés de l'histoire, de la culture et du monde de travail norvégiens.

Il a été conçu par les architectes Arnstein Arneberg et Magnus Poulsson, en 1931 dans un style art déco scandinave mais terminé après la guerre en 1950.
