Description
Čeština: Těšín kolem roku 1640 – měďrytina Meriana. Rytina vznikla v období vlády těšínských Piastovců. Pohled z dnešního Českého Těšína na dnes polskou část Cieszyn. Vlevo zámek na Zámeckém vrchu, dobře viditelné jsou také kostely (zleva: sv. Jiří, farní, dominikánský, sv. Trojice). Také dobře viditelné dnes již neexistující městské hradby s branami (vpravo Vyšší brána s tehdejším stejnojmenným předměstím).

Polski: Cieszyn ok. 1640 roku - miedzioryt Meriana. Grafikę wykonano w końcowym okresie panowania Piastów cieszyńskich. Widok od strony dzisiejszego Czeskiego Cieszyna. Po lewej wyraźnie widoczne zabudowania zamkowe na Górze Zamkowej. Wyróżniają się też budynki kościołów (od lewej: św. Jerzego, parafialny, dominikański i św. Trójcy). Dobrze widoczne nieistniejące dziś mury miejskie z bramami (po prawej stronie Wyższa Brama z ówczesnym przedmieściem o tej samej nazwie).
