Summary

Description
English: Bellevue House, built 1801, as photographed circa 1870-1885 by the Royal Engineers. This structure burned down around 1885 and was rebuilt. Its replacement was demolished in 1955 and the site became a surface parking lot. The new Halifax Central Library presently occupies the site. Nova Scotia Archives reference no.: Royal Engineers NS Archives no. 6793 (Piers no. 191)
