Summary
DescriptionAnamur Castle Outer castle 8642.jpg | English: Next to the mosque the gate that connects to the inner courtyard. The castle is, on a map that is in this series (Anamur Castle Information 8563), described as containing an "outer castle" (where there is a mosque and a row of shops) to the north of a wall separating that area from an "inner courtyard" by a wall, a main tower to the latter's southeastern corner, and a "inner castle" to the west of the inner courtyard. On the north side there is a water-filled moat, formerly the entrance to the castle was on that side too. On the south side the sea provides protection. To locate where a picture was taken the gps-information from my camera was generally correct, in a few cases reflections from the walls caused some drift. |

Some of the pictures have "panorama" in their name, they are computer-generated wide-angle pictures, with several types of distortion. Some pictures have been taken with a dedicated fish-eye lens and have another type of distortion, but show a lot, as they should.
