Birçok birey tarafından çokça merak edilen bu harika ada aynı zamanda zengin tarihi geçmişi sayesinde ülkemizin tarihi kaynaklarında olduğu gibi birçok batı ülkelerinin tarihi arşivlerinde de oldukça önemli bir konuma sahiptir.
