Construction of the main stadium structure had begun, the concrete pedestrian bridges over the freeway had begun (a larger bridge to the right is not visible). The location is bordered by 7th St. N (overpass on left), the Hennepin Energy Recovery Center (HERC) (building with smokestacks at rear left as well as the similarly colored small building to the right of it), 5th St. N (overpass on the right side), and the 394 exits (foreground).
