DC Comics is a comic book publisher, which together with Marvel Comics is the caretaker of the American superhero genre, featuring characters such as Batman and Superman.

While DC Comics characters have been featured in motion pictures since at least the 1940s, the DC Extended Universe is a continuity of live-action films distributed by Warner Bros., beginning with Man of Steel in 2013.

As of July 2019, the filming series of consists of 7 films that have been released, 6 films to be released in 2020-2022, 1 more that is in production, and 20 that are in development. The film series was shot in locations around the world, most of them available to visit.
