Brentwood is an affluent, suburban city in eastern Contra Costa County, California with a popular downtown for visitors coming from the Sacramento Valley to the county. It serves as one of the eastern gateways to the East Bay, along with Livermore. Many in the city are commuters.

Highway 4 passes through the western and southern edges of Brentwood. Follow signs to get to downtown Brentwood. A possible BART extension has been discussed but has yet to materialize; in the meantime, Tri Delta Transit buses connect Brentwood to Antioch BART station.

• Jerry's Hot Dogs, 380 W Country Club Dr Unit I, ☏ +1 925 754 4313. M-Sa 11AM-7PM, Su 11AM-6PM. Known around the area for the best hot dogs and Gyros around. They offer a very large portion of chili cheese fries. A local favorite where you can actually get an authentic gyro. Under $15.
