Akko Town is a town in Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State. It is one of the largest towns in Gombe State and serves as the administration of the council. Akko is the capital of Gona Emirate. Tumfure is a suburb of Akko Local Government Area.

By bus[edit]

One gets into Akko through Bauchi with any transport service companies operating in the North East routes. State-owned transport companies such Gombe Line, Adamawa Sunshine, etc., ply the North East route from Abuja, Lagos State, Port Harcourt and Plateau State.

It costs ₦4500-6000 to get into Akko from Abuja, while it costs ₦12,000-14,000 from Lagos to Akko.
